Have a look and see for yourself all the fabulous things happening in South Abbey.
Did you know that in South Abbey, not only do we have a large tarmac play area and massive green space but we also have a lovely enclosed yard at the side of the school. Ms Eaton's class are doing a great job of showcasing it here. Wouldn't we all love to be in this class. Look at all the hard work and fun they are getting through.
The junior infants in Ms Heskin's class are having a ball doing science experiments for science week. Rain cloud in a jar, dancing raisins, sorting, classifying and counting shapes. Our future scientists all received science achievement awards. Well done all. We love hands on activities in South Abbey!
The children were given the option of dressing up in different costumes for some Halloween fun at South Abbey.
As you can see the South Abbey children had an incredible morning with the local fire service. We learned so much and showed off all we've been learning about being fire safe.
The children were inspired by the work of artist Wasily Kandinski in third and fourth class. Their creative juices were flowing to create these gorgeous pieces. We love creativity and self expression in South Abbey.
Have a look below at some of the lovely art displays from around the school.
The children in fifth and sixth class had a ball carving pumpkins and dressing up in scary attire for Halloween.
